Job opportunities for Indians as Sharjah ruler establishes university

SHARJAH: A new university in Sharjah has opened the world of job opportunities for Indians including Malayalis. His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Sultan Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, signed for the opening of Al Dhaid University. The announcement was made after his visit to the Al Dhaid University building on Thursday morning. Agricultural subjects will be taught in the university.

Sheikh Sultan announced that he is pleased to announce the establishment of Al Dhaid University, a non-profit scientific institution in the Arab region specializing in agriculture, environment, food and livestock. The university has put in place all the facilities to support the scientific mission and achieve the objectives including wheat farm, Saba Sanabel project, vegetable farm, dairy farm, seed bank and laboratories. He clarified that the government would like to witness new developments soon.

The order appointing Dr Aisha Ahmed Mohammed Abu Shlaibi as the Chancellor of Al Dhaid University and Dr Melissa Fitzgerald as the Dean of the College of Agriculture at Al Dhaid University has also been released. Sheikh Sultan said that the university will stand out in terms of faculties, areas of study and providing practical opportunities to each student in their chosen field. The new agriculture college will have eight departments.

Job opportunity for Malayalis
With the opening of the new university in Sharjah, job opportunities are opening up for Indians, especially Malayalis. Many vacancies are reported for many posts including faculties. The university authorities have not released more information about the job opportunities.
